GAYLE FERLICOQ
President & English Teacher
Founded in 2014 by Gayle Ferlicoq, Englishzone began as a natural extension of her years of experience teaching English as a Foreign Language. After moving to France in 2008, Gayle started offering private English lessons to students from local schools and universities while also working at the Brittany Tourism Office, where she translated promotional materials into English.
Later relocating to Évian, she continued to grow her teaching practice, eventually forming a partnership with Cambridge English.
This officially made Englishzone a certified Cambridge Preparation Centre.
Gayle’s professional background in sales, finance, and marketing played a vital role in the center’s growth. With rising enrollment and demand for quality instruction, Englishzone has rebranded as Englishzone International Academy and expanded its programs and services.
CAROLINE GARLOT
General Director & Math Teacher
Caroline arrived in Haute-Savoie after completing her Master’s degree in Management and Economics. As a mother of three, she has always been deeply involved in supporting her children’s education. Her dedication led her to serve for several years as president of the Parent-Teacher Association, where she played a key role in strengthening communication between parents and educators. Her strong organizational skills, dependability, and natural ability to support students have made her a highly respected member of the school community.
She joined the Englishzone team as a Math teacher, bringing both energy and expertise to the classroom. With a passion for numbers and mathematical logic, Caroline has a unique gift for making complex concepts both clear and enjoyable. Her engaging teaching style empowers students of all levels to succeed in Math—proving that you don’t need a “mathematical mind” to excel.
Today, she continues to teach while also serving as the General Director of Englishzone International Academy, where she remains deeply committed to the academy’s growth and success.
